About Us

Many people in the UK are facing serious financial problems and suffering under mounting debts (see www.creditaction.org.uk/debt-statistics.html for up to date statistics). Many residents in the Harlesden area face such monetary hardship.

HMA is a charitable activity of Community Church Harlesden (www.cchonline.org), a local church and registered charity (charity number 1121958). Members of Community Church Harlesden started HMA to help meet the need for free debt advice provision in the area. HMA is affiliated with Community Money Advice (CMA) (www.communitymoneyadvice.com). Advisors have been trained by CMA and CMA staff give on the job support to our advisors.

HMA is a member of Advice UK and is licensed by the Office of Fair Trading (licence number 624089) to help people with their debt problems.

Private debt sessions are held in Harlesden. The advice is impartial and we welcome members of the community from all ethnic or religious backgrounds.
